scream sequence
In small groups, we were tasked with creating/recreating a horror scene utilising all the technical skills we have accumulated so far. Unfortunately, I missed the filming and a significant portion of the planning, so I cannot confidently say I contributed much to the final sequence.
planning
I was present for the very early stages of planning where we were deciding on what idea to use for the short. These are the notes we took then:

Final sequence

I don't know and can't tell if they used one of the ideas we thought of as a group. I do like how it was executed and think its a great attempt at an unnerving sequence.

There's a number of voyeuristic shots that make it feel as if something is following her, foreshadowing her inevitable death. I also liked the claustrophobic close ups that intensify the unease you'd imagine her to be feeling. The long, uneventful shot of the hallway behind her brings us closer to her perspective and allows us to feel the paranoia she is - expecting something to be there only to be met with suspense.
One of my favourite parts has to be when we watch her go down the stairs from behind, where the camera cuts to her pov right as she turn to look behind her, giving the impression taht someone was watching but is gone now. The following camera movements are frantic and staggered, showing us how the protagonist is jumpy and frightened. The blood splatter at the end with the killer was also a nice touch.

Next time we are tasked with working in groups on a project, i'll ensure I attend college and communicate effectively with my team, since that was probably my biggest failure here.
